The Brown Bottling team won the Championship Flight and a record was set in money raised at the 17th Annual East Central Community College Warrior Golf Classic held May 11 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, located on the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw.
On Friday morning, May 18, the Louisville High School Class of 2018 donned caps and gowns walked through the hallways of Fair and Louisville Elementary Schools, Eiland Middle School and LHS, as a way of remembering the long journey that has brought them to their high school graduation.
Winston Academy’s Valedictorian and Star Student is Miss Anna Grace Boydstun. She is a member of the Honor Society, the Anchor Club, and she serves and her senior class as secretary/treasurer. Anna Grace was also Winston County’s Distinguished Young Woman.
Registering for fall 2018 classes is among the activities new and transfer students will participate in when East Central Community College holds its Warrior Wednesday Orientation session June 6 on the Decatur campus.
The management of Sudden Service, Inc. (SSI) recently promoted Kevin Trahan as Territory Manager for the state of Texas. Trahan joined the Big Red team after working for an authorized Taylor dealer. Trahan has over 20 years experience in the heavy equipment industry.
This year was especially special to the graduating class because their fathers were permitted to join. In the previous years, fathers were not included only because the luncheon was hosted at Mrs. Aline Haynes’ home.

A trio of Winston Academy baseball players was scheduled to appear in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools 2018 All-Star Baseball Games earlier this week.
Three MAIS all-star contests were scheduled for Tuesday, beginning with the Class AAAA and Class AAA contests and wrapping up with the Class A-AA game.
